UPDATE: NEW LOCATIONS FOR BRIGHTLINE WEST FIELD INVESTIGATION WORK IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
LAS VEGAS (February 4, 2025) – Brightline West announces updates to field investigation work in Southern California within the rail corridor that is located along the Interstate 15 right-of-way. No field investigation work is scheduled for the week in Nevada.
Field investigation work includes geotechnical borings and samplings, utility potholing, and land surveying. Work will take place primarily during daytime hours with some work at night to minimize disruption to traffic. In some instances, short-term closures of freeway shoulders will be required. All work will be done in compliance with applicable environmental regulations and coordination with Caltrans.
Updated project areas are listed below. Motorists should proceed with extra caution through work zones and adhere to posted detour signs, speed limits, and other signage.
California
Rancho Station – Near Milliken Ave (I-15)
Potholing will occur near the Rancho Station near Milliken Ave. This will occur on Monday, Feb. 24, 2025. Work will start at 8:00 a.m. and finish at 5:00 p.m. Metrolink flaggers are needed.
Near Sierra Ave and East Etiwanda Creek (I-15)
Potholing will occur near Sierra Ave. and East Etiwanda Creek. This will occur on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025. Work will start at 8:00 a.m. and finish at 5:00 p.m. Lane closure on Sierra Ave.
Near Victoria Street (I-15)
Potholing will occur near Victoria Street on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, and Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025. Work will start at 8:00 a.m. and finish at 5:00 p.m., There will be a lane closure on Victoria Street.
Near Baseline Ave (I-15)
Potholing will occur near Baseline Ave. This will occur on Friday, Feb. 28, 2025. Work will start at 8:00 a.m. and finish at 5:00 p.m. Baseline will be closed.
